I really can’t believe that I have been married for 3 years! That may not seem like a long time to some of you but to me..it seems like a very long time! I am so thankful to God for bringing such a loyal, loving, hard working, and supportive man to me. I remember when I was single, I made a list of 10 things that I wanted in a husband and 10 things that were deal breakers. Micah fulfills every single one of those and let’s be honest that’s incredible. He is a man who has great character and that’s rare to find. To us marriage isn’t about things always being perfect…it’s about never giving up on each other. It’s about being on the same team even when you disagree on something. We are two totally different people with almost opposite strengths and weakness. Rather than letting that divide us…we see the differences as complimenting each other. He really is my other half. Anyways…enough of the mushy stuff let’s get to some pictures!!
I have never shared my wedding photos on my blog and I love, love, love, love them! I had a really hard time choosing a wedding photographer. Micah jokes that we planned our entire wedding around pictures. In some ways..it’s totally true! We ended up choosing Amanda McMahon Photography and it was the best decision! I just really clicked with her and her pictures. I could just see my wedding being blogged on her site! Head on over to her website she is amazing:
Ok here are a few of my favorites..and it was really hard to narrow them down! We did a first look/secret ceremony outside under the willow tree. It was actually POURING and super windy. But I really didn’t care! I was so determined to have the pictures outside we grabbed some umbrellas and away we went! Not many people know about the secret ceremony either… I really wanted to do a first look so we would have all our pictures done before the ceremony. Micah wasn’t comfortable with this so we did a secret ceremony under the tree right after our first look with just our parents. This was our compromise and it was really special! Plus it was SO AWESOME to have all the pictures done beforehand so we could just relax and enjoy the day!
Yes we had a HUGE bridal party. Our excuse is we both come from families of 5 and we have a bunch of friends. It was honestly so much fun!! I think these two below might be my favorite group photos. They pretty much sum up this group of guys. I LOVE my brother all the way to the left in this top one. So funny!
After pictures we went back to the church for the formal ceremony! Like Micah said..I planned the day around pictures. So I made time in between the ceremony and reception to stop at a field for some more portraits with just Micah and I.
Then we headed to our Reception! I’m convinced our dance floor was one of the craziest. It was AWESOME I remember laughing SO hard. It was such a perfect day. I’m not saying that everything went “perfectly” meaning planning wise. I just mean it was perfect because we were married and that’s all that really matters in the end!
